Description:

The purpose of this course is for students to build a fundamental understanding of IT 
Service Management and the Information Technology Infrastructure Library as approached in the latest 2011 edition set of books. Topics covered are: Service Strategy; Service Design; Service Transition; Services Operation; Continual Service Improvement and how these topics interrelate. At the conclusion of the course the student will understand the purpose of the different processes, the relationships associated roles and responsibilities of each. They will also have learned the importance of using standardized vocabulary to describe Service Management processes as well as gain understanding of the relevance of Services Management to the student’s own working environment.
